Formulations is an Oriental Medicine Clinic, which also functions as a Pharmacy for Practitioners and an Herbal Education Center. Created in 2003, by Dr. Deborahlise Mota, with the vision of supporting traditional and ecologically sustainable medicine. Formulations provides consultations and treatments in the fields of Chinese Medicine, Ayurveda, Nutrition, and Western Herbal Medicine.
Dr. Deborahlise Mota is a Doctor of Oriental Medicine and a Registered Professional Herbalist with the American Herbalist Guild. She currently acts as Chair of the Oriental Medical Association’s Herb Committee and is the President of the NMAHGC. She is a graduate of the Heartwood Institute of Massage, the Southwest School of Botanical Medicine, East-West School of Herbology, Foundations in Herbal Medicine, the American Institute of Vedic Studies, and continues her studies with Dr. Lad at the Ayurvedic Institute. Deborahlise received her Masters in Oriental Medicine from the International Institute of Chinese Medicine, following her undergrad in Agroecology and plant sciences from UC Santa Cruz. She has done extensive public speaking and teaching, and has been practicing bodywork and herbal medicine for over ten years.

Dr. Mota specializes in custom blending herbal formulas, and holds the vision that medicine should be individualized and tailored for our unique needs.
